Exit Strategy CrazyAmphibian - 12/sep/2025
It was inevitable, really.
making a successful indie game requires a lot of talent and resources. neither of which I had.
so... what's going on?
Well, Elo is busy dealing with college, and has been for a while now. in fact, he more or less took a back seat to games to focus on that shortly after SSTD was released. He was still doing localization work on conformer, so that's something.
I've been working on some other projects in the meantime, too, and will probably pursue a career in the games industry under some other studio. Not sure which, the industry is a bit rocky.
either way, it was a good experience, this stuff. got a lot of stuff done and learned many things.
what about the games?
SSTD
the game's been out of development for a while. It's definitely rough, mostly as a result of it being the first game I ever made. I'm unsure whether to heavily discount it, or to just make it a free experience.
Conformer
by far it's a much better refined experience. a lot more cohesive. But still, i won't be actively working on it. to the discount bin it goes.
CM
perpetual development hell. abandoned now, but is the subject of relentless ideasguying. maybe one day when i figure out what game i actually want it to be, and have the time i'll get around to messing with it. for now, i guess i still have things saved for the future.
other stuff
i've been working on a microgame, too. it'll be free. it's partially just a tech showoff. uses fancy shaders and whatnot for some interesting gameplay implications. stay tuned if you're interested in that.
the discounts will be applied sometime this weekend, and will remain in effect for the foreseeable future.
